NEP 2020 opens doors for foreign varsities; HECI bill to go for cabinet nod soon

The ministry of education is preparing to take to cabinet a Bill to set up the Higher Education Commission of India (HECI)- which will come with a clause to allow foreign varsities into India. The model of routing entry of foreign universities through the HECI Bill with a single clause instead of a separate legislation is hoped to find greater support in Parliament.
