Indian students opt for desi route to get a foreign degree

According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), there were an estimated 10.9 lakh Indians studying abroad as of July 2019. Experts estimate that India sends about 2-3 lakh students abroad every year and, out of this, undergraduate students make up about 10-12%.
